LaWanda, Our deepest sympathy at the loss of Bill. What a truly wonderful man he was. Ron had so much respect for him at the fire department and knows that he was one of the best chiefs they ever had. His knowledge in the fire service as well as the financial end kept that department going. I truly was honored to serve as his assistant treasurer for a year and learned to much in that short time. This kind, generous, caring and fun guy will be missed by many. Our prayer is for comfort for you and all those who are affected by his death. He is now at peace and may God continue to bless his sour and hold you in his comforting arms.

LaWanda, You and Bill was welcoming to me as I spent four years of undergraduate studies at Thiel. At times, I thought I wouldn't make it but week after week both of you supported me and I gradually transitioned to life in the U.S. I remember spending Sunday afternoons with both of you, watching the rise of Tiger Woods. I remember Sunday brunches at Perkins and other restaurants around town, at your house as well. I remember Bill talking about his radio in the background for firemen, his going hunting to Canada, or just shooting at skeets on weekends. What a man. I remember he tried to get me an internship at that Bank he used to work for on Main Street but my visa was complicated. Nevertheless, he was always there, supporting, loving, accepting. He was THE man, in today's lingo. I miss him dearly. LaWanda, I know how great this loss is to you. I pray for strength and for God's peace to descend upon you in these difficult times. I love you. You are like a mother to me. Last summer my daughter was asking about why you insisted we eat something at your new place. I responded: You think my mother will let me leave without eating something? She was also touched by your kindness, her other grandma is 10, 000 miles away. My heart goes out to you. My husband and I will be at the memorial service on Saturday. May Bill (Bob) rest in peace. Nirina.

Uncle Bill will be greatly missed! We will always remember him for his sharp wit, generous heart, genuine love for his family and all of his fun bantering with my dad and Uncle Ralph! How we wish the miles weren't so extensive between us as we'd love to be there with everyone stretching out our love to you, Aunt Wandie! May God Bless!! Jerenne
