What privelige to have known such a man as he. Always an inspiration to so many. Remember scripture says, to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord...What a promise..!! We love you Mariem...Living Waters Church.

Marion and the extended Krieder Family:
I am deeply saddened to learn of Ron passing away. I had the privilege of meeting him and learning the passion and love he had for our fraternity, Sigma Tau Gamma, at California University.
As one of the 22 founding members of our chapter at CalU in 1958, Ron is revered and respected by the over 800 brothers in our history.
I met with him at his house in Greenville - wow!, what a beautiful home. I am a better person for having known Ron.
Marion, we sing The Rose of Sigma Tau to you: "She has those dreamy eyes of blue, a smile beyond compare,
Two ruby lips to tease you, and a wealth of golden hair,
She wears the badge of Sigma Tau, she’s the sweetest flow’r that grows, She’s Sigma Tau’s own sweetheart, she’s Sigma Tau’s White Rose."
Respectfully,
Jeff Janosik, BI 526

Though I didn't have the pleasure of meeting Ron personally, we Sig Tau brothers at California (Pa.) should be forever grateful for the foundation that he helped lay for the formation of Beta Iota. May God bless and embrace his family during this difficult time.

With profound sadness, we offer this note of sympathy to Frank & Monica, Carolyn & Ted, Bob & Linda; grandchildren, nieces, nephews—but most of all to Marion, and to dear, dear Aunt Dodie. It is hard to imagine we will not hear Ron’s hearty greeting, see his welcoming smile, or spend awhile hearing happy stories. He loved life, and lived it fully engaging the power of family love, a legacy alive in the beauty of new generations. Oh how precious a memory, a presence, enduring forever. Thank you for sharing him, allowing him to touch our lives, too.

To Ron's family,
I didn't know Ron personally. I came to California State in 1961...and pledged in 1962. Apparently, I missed meeting Ron by a year or two. It's always sad to hear of the passing of a fellow Sig Tau brother. May Ron rest in peace.

What a wonderful son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, Pop-Pop, uncle and friend Ron Krieder was. All the people whose lives Ron touched are better off because of it. He is now resting peacefully in the arms of Jesus Christ. Knowing Ron he will make time to have some fun with all his friends and family who have gone before. Marion, Carolyn, Frank and all the family in your sorrow remember he will never miss a moment of your lives, he will always be there for you. Marion. Ron told me once that he had found his "Soul Mate" in you and you were his strength. His love for you and the kids grew every day. You will be in my prayers and if I can do anything for you I will always be here.

Dear Mrs. Krieder and family,
I will always remember Mr. Krieder for his serious dedication to teaching us drafting when we were just young kids -- T-squares, pencils, erasers and blueprints -- at RHS. Somehow, I always had his classes toward the end of the school day, and thus, my school days with him always ended on a high note. The way he taught us was serious but fun at the same time.
I will remember Mr. Krieder for letting me work on the then-new CAD system -- which is, today, used around the world in every industry imaginable -- because he seemed to think my work was that good, even when I did not. For a goofy high school kid, who was not terribly sure about anything at that point in life, that was a great boost in my confidence, indeed.
Mr. Krieder taught us to document our work in a draftsman's style: The lines were connected, very straight, segmented, each letter was very uniform, as if our signatures were our own fonts. And that is something, for as minute as it may be today, I use right down to my own handwriting. Whenever I write my own name, I think of Mr. Krieder.
I remember one day, Mr. Krieder asked me, "Who sings that song, 'The Lady in Red?'"
I said, "Chris DeBurgh." He said, "Do you have a copy of that song?"
I said, "No, I do not, but I can make a tape for you with a really good song with Bryan Adams and Tina Turner," which he accepted.
And one day, he asked us if we knew Pat Benatar's "real" last name (Andrejewski, for the record ...he wrote it on the chalkboard). I thought that was cool, because I was/am a huge Pat Benatar fan. Just great things that he did that made his class fun.
Aside from all that cool stuff, I will remember Mr. Krieder for his great sense of humor, knowledge, the GIANT poster of Tina Turner in the closet in his classroom, as one of my favorite teachers at RHS and a great man I will never forget.
Please accept my best wishes and deepest sympathy.
God bless you, and thanks for everything, Mr. Krieder!
