Loutzenhiser-Jordan Online Guestbook for Margaret A. “Peg” McEwen

We are very, very sorry for your loss. Peg was one of the funniest women I ever knew. We were evil little children at the Benedict Reunion and Peg was in the middle with the rest of us. I am in awe of her strength and resolve and you are blessed to be her children.

When I think of your mom, I will always think of the beach. Lots of good memories - good times, laughs, good talks. Hang on tight to all your memories. I'm so sorry for your loss. Terrie

Melissa, Marsha, and Matt...we are very saddened by the passing of your Mother. She fought a long battle. Always enjoyed our "mom talks" . Think of all of you often ...remembering your school days and Abby getting the bus at your home, Abby riding to OBX with Matt driving one summer, etc. Fond memories...and we are sure you have many of your Mom to help you through this difficult time. Accept our sincere sympathy.

I am so sorry to have to write this memo to and not share in person, as I cannot attend the calling hours. First my condolences to the entire family. Peg was such a courageous person. Her fight for quality of life and her love of her family is so admirable. She shared so much about you all, I feel I sort of know you! While Peg and I worked together only a short time, some of my best times with her were our visits at the Thiel soccer field. My son played for Thiel and she often joined me in watching his games. I thoroughly enjoyed those times and her support. I hope that in my attempts at helping her through this amazing battle she fought in the little ways I could made a difference. She made a difference to many. God bless.

The entire family have my deepest sympathy. Your mom will be missed. She was a wonderful lady. She was so proud of each of her children and grandchildren. She always took great pleasure in talking about your latest accomplishments. I am sorry I am unable to be there. My love to you all. Aunt Cindy

Dear Melissa, Marsha and Matt--I was so sorry to read about the death of your mom. Because of all of you, I got to know her as a mom, and later, when she would come into Christopher and Banks where I work part time, I always enjoyed talking and waiting on her. I am not able to get to the funeral home because of my work hours, but I will be thinking about all of you. Marsha, if you don't mind, could you email me?? I would love to keep in touch. k.kollar@roadrunner.com. Aain, my sympathy to all. Much love, Karen Kollar

I also worked with Peg at Cambridge Springs High School. She had the craziest sense of humor and was always perfectly accessorized! She kept a great positive and cheery attitude during her battle. Prayers and good memories to you.

I just wanted to take this chance tell you how blessed I have been to know Peg. I taught with her at Cambridge and I loved her sense of humor and her ability to graciously tell the truth---even when it was difficult. She was especially kind to my daughter who was in the elementary school. Any time I would be at a meeting, she would get out the markers and other cool things in her room and let Alex play in her room instead of sitting at the meeting. They had quite a friendship---many mornings Alex would say, "I want to go see Mrs. McEwen before I go over to school." Thank you for sharing your mom with us!
