Loutzenhiser-Jordan Online Guestbook for Evelyn C. Baer
To Holly and David-- your parents were so special to us. We have so many wonderful memories of happy times in Greenville with them. Everyone in our family knows all the stories of PG and Ev. We are so sorry for your loss.

Our condolences to Dave, Holly and their families. We are so sorry that we are unable to attend the service for Evelyn. We were so fortunate to live next door to your mom and dad for so many years. We have so many wonderful memories of the times we spent with them. We will miss getting your mom's pretty Christmas cards she made for us. You are all in our thoughts and prayers.

I am so sorry for your loss. It was a pleasure growing up next door to the Baer's. We spent many summer days swimming with them. Your family is in my thoughts and prayers.

Ev was a very important person to so many people in so many ways. As a new faculty member at Thiel, I had many conversations with her as I learned how to be effective with my students and colleagues. Her good humored guidance saved many a day!

Condolences and best of wishes to Mrs. Baer's family. She could be demanding, often a tough instructor; always fair/
consistent in the class room and entertaining in her wit and sense of humor as well however. She was one of the best teachers one could have ever asked for/had at Thiel; she helped me enjoy learning through her unique persona and compassion and dedication to her profession. The world lost a fine lady with whom I had the pleasure of knowing. She will not be forgotten. Condolences and peace to you all.

Mrs. Baer was both a teacher and friend while I was a student at Thiel. I had her for a number of classes and was inspired by her warmth and caring for all her students. When I graduated and needed a reference for my first job I approached her and asked if she would do one which she did and because of her I may have landed the job.
